Diamond Valley Cricket Association

Junior Executive (JEC)

Overview:
The Junior Executive (JEC) comprises a core group of up to 8 ongoing members assisted by co-opting others to perform critical roles as well as using the expertise offered by a Coaches Advisory Panel made up of previous Rep cricket coaches.

Clubs may submit material to the JEC for consideration and may also ask to host the JEC meeting to discuss mutual points of interest.

The JEC meets once a month (usually 3rd Monday of each month) for general business with occasional other meetings throughout the year at peak or special purpose times.  These meetings are open forums so anyone can attend.

Work of the JEC:
The role of the Junior Executive (JEC) is to manage and oversee all Junior related matters in the DVCA. They are responsible for the scheduling, organisation, and to oversee the conduct of all Junior Cricket matches. Included in this responsibility is Team Grading, Fixturing and the adherence to administrative procedures for the Association. All disputes, protests, Code of Conduct adherence matters etc., are referred to the JEC and they have the power to invoke penalties as required.

The JEC works closely with the Member Clubs and at all times operates with absolute transparency. Executive members are available to discuss any issues with Junior Representatives from all Clubs. Communication avenues include email, telephone, meetings and the DVCA website.

The JEC is responsible for the organisation and conduct of Representative Cricket matches and works closely with DVCA Clubs, aligned Premier Cricket Clubs and local Turf wicket competitions, to facilitate the best available venues to host matches.

Constant evaluation of Junior Rules takes place during and after each Season. The JEC makes recommendations for Rule Change Proposals when appropriate and seeks feedback from Member Clubs on these issues. The Chairman of the JEC sits on the Senior Executive as a liaison between the two Committees.
