VMCU TOURNAMENT:
Teams will meet at the Lower Eltham clubrooms on Sunday 4 January (11am-1pm) for a pre-tournament light warmup (wear club or DVCA shirt/cap and tracksuit) for the presentation of DVCA rep shirt, players information pack, to enjoy a BBQ and find out who the team leaders will be for each side.

Player information:
- for home matches all players must bring a plate of food to share for lunch (DVCA needs to provide lunch for both teams, umpires and officials; suggestions are sandwiches/rolls, fruit, cut up pieces of cake/donuts/sweet bun/pikelets; a catering schedule will be drawn up)
- at most venues, canteens will be open but bringing snacks and drinks is suggested; shops are not always near by venues
- players must bring their own water bottle (sports/energy drinks are optional) and supply all of their own gear.
Players selected in the teams must ensure that their main contact details (home phone, email, mobile) are listed by their club in MyCricket, so that this can be passed on to the team coordinators.

Would ideally suit an ex-junior player between 16 and 21 years to also offer to help out. |
Selection policy:
Only boys who have played in the Tri-series or in the game against Box Hill will be initially considered for the DVCA teams. If necessary due to late changes in availability or injury etc, players who trialled only will then be considered.

The DVCA will be fielding teams as follows

U14 Allen Shield (played on synthetic)
U12 Mitchell Shield (played on synthetic)
U12 Browne Plate (played on synthetic)
Playing dates: January 5 to January 18 (usually a 2 week competition)
Players must be available for the whole period of 2 weeks.
In general, DVCA teams are selected from rep trials, player development clinic/sessions/workshops and rep matches plus close attention is paid to club performances at both junior and senior levels. Preference is usually given to top age players in each age group.
